Hello, I have downloaded a Thai gongs VST plugin and can’t figure out how to install it in Dorico 6. Can anyone give me some advice?
If there is no VST3 version, you might have to unblock the VST2 version under Preferences→VST Plug-ins.
Jesper
thanks. So first where do I put the download?
Is this the one you got?
Jesper
No not that one another alainvista freebee
Perhaps your suggestion is better?
Don’t know. Are you on Mac? If you’re on Windows I can’t help very much.
Jesper
my download was the other one just above.
I’m on mac
I downloaded the one I showed you. It’s a ZIP-file. If I double-click it I get a folder with a Thai Gongs.vst file.
That should be placed under Macintosh HD->Library→Audio→Plug-ins→VST. Then a restart of the Mac might be needed, Then check the Preferences→VST Plug-ins that it’s not blocked. Is you downloaded file also a .vst file?
Jesper
Yes it’s also a vst. I put it in there but it’s not showing up in Dorico. I’ll restart and if necessary go into preferences as you suggest
I can’t get it to work. I guess it’s just too old. From 2012. The AU-version doesn’t work in Logic either.
Jesper
Thanks so much for trying. I’ll look elsewhere for a more recent plugin. Again thanks for your help!
De nada, hope you find something.
Jesper
