Installing an M Audio Axiom 25 Keyboard

Hi,

I am new to C6 (and cubase in general) and have a Axiom 25 keyboard I would like to install in C6. I have had in functioning in Reason before so I know it works but after attemting to follow the directions for installing a midi device in the manual I have failed. After 3 days and reading as much as I can I am still stumped.
I am not overly computer literate so any assistance with this would be much appreciated.

Did you turn on the device before starting Cubase?
