Hi,
I was sent a link to the Cubase 6 .iso file after requesting a licence for Cubase 4, but was told by the support team that Cubase 4 will not work on Windows 8. I own the Cubase 6 update, so the support team sent me the link to download the Cubase 6 .iso file. The problem is, I cannot install it. If I use the “setup” file, I get the following message:
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit, the application will close immediately. The system cannot open the device or file specified. Database=“E:\Cubase 6 for Windows\Additional Content\VST\Sound\Groove_Agent_ONE_Content.msi”.
If I press continue I get the message “Please wait while the installation program is initialising” but it just sits there and does nothing, no matter how long I leave it.
If I try using the Cubase6_64 bit Windows Installer Package, the installation begins but I get the following message:
String reading from file E:\Cubase 6 for windows\additional
Content\documentation\English\Halion_Sonic_SE.pdf
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
If I click “retry” it just brings up the same window again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
