Hi
I have Cubase pro 12 running on my laptop and I’ve finally brought my pc up to spec so i want to download it onto this second machine.
Im pretty sure i can run the software on both machines( up to 3 machines?)
just wanted to know the correct procedure.
ive logged onto the steinberg site and nothing obvious?
i presume i maybe download the free trial and at some stage i will be able to activate it
Any help appreciated
Thx
Just download the Download Assistant and install it on the second machine. It will automatically install the additional required components, like the Activation Manager.
Via Download Assistant you can install the software and later activate it.
hi thx
yeah i was looking for that but couldnt see it after i logged in
thankyou
What about the Licence Pin. After you download Cubase 12 Pro. Do you have to Activate the Cubase 12 pro with the Licence at all for it to work??? To Activate the 12 Pro, Or not. Also 12 Pro does not show on elicencer. So as for transfering it like a regular licensed instrument. How can you activate it in a new computer. It only shows up online in Steinberg Product. But without the Licenced code . It used to show it before . But now Yamaha Has taken it down. But it should be up with all your purchases like Halion 7 as well, along with Grove Agent 5 and some others as well . but all licenced codes were taken down.
Hi, sorry can’t remember now exactly how it panned out but it was pretty straightforward after downloading the download assistant, then logging in.
Seem to think it remembered everything I’d purchased and let me install.
Sorry I cant be more specific.
I’m not sure what you are talking about.
There is no “Pin” for a license, all you get when you buy a Cubase license is a one time download code. After downloading and installing the software you open the Activation Manager, login with your mySteinberg account and activate the license.
No it doesn’t and all future releases will not do as well. There is a new licensing system for at least two years now.
Start the Activation Manager and click Activate, you can do that on up to three machines. You don’t need a license code.
Now it gets weird. Yamaha has done nothing, Yamaha has not even to do anything with the release and licensing here.
Nothing is taken down.
You should try to explain your problem in a way that others understand and not mix things that are not even relevant.
