Instruction as footnote in one part only

Needing to put an instruction as a footnote in harp part only. So asterick above bar - then write a footnote. Is this possible?

Shift-X text perhaps.

Actually (saw your post before you deleted it) it may work!

OK, undeleted it again.

The footnote could be a text frame also at the botton of the page.

Jesper

OK, would that be able to be done so it shows on just the harp part?

Your other suggestion worked…took a bit of jigging the text around, so text frame at bottom may be better

Think Shift-X text is better. You can add a border and first flip it below with f and then move it in Engrave mode.

Thanks Jesele!

Also set to locally and hide it in the score

Yes, frames are specific to a layout. I would be careful not to add this until the end of your laying out procedure, because once you add a new frame to a page, that page is considered to have an override, and any changes to the underlying template won’t propagate to that page.

Perfect!

Exactly

If you find yourself often needing footnotes, you could do what I do – I have a field for footnotes on my default page template so I can always enter foot note text there in case I need it. Prepared with the right paragraph style and all.
