Instrument change between drum kit and treble staff not working

In the score I’m working on (attached below) the instrument changes feature seems not to be working with the player that is holding a drum kit and a “treble staff”. I want the drummer’s part to be able to switch quickly back and forth between drum kit notation and a reduction of the rest of the ensemble’s part in treble clef. This should be able to happen on the same line. But it’s forcing it to appear on two separate lines. Is there something I’m doing wrong that’s prevent this from being possible?

I think the problem here is that your Treble Staff instrument has extra staves—you’re probably better off using an instrument with two staves for your reduction. Dorico isn’t capable of managing instrument changes for instruments that have extra staves, for technical reasons (essentially it’s difficult to work out which staves should be visible).

Update: I changed it to a grand staff and it is indeed working now. Thanks!
