Instrument Change without gallery view

Hello!! I hope you are doing well. I would like to know if there is a way in page view to change the instrument to which you are writing music to. I know that the proper way to do that is using gallery view but I have a project with lots of instruments per player, lots of players, and lots of flows, and changing from page view to gallery view is very time-consuming (I have to wait for the computer finish the task). Also In gallery view it is time-consuming for me the simple fact of finding the instrument to wich I want to write music to.

You could switch to the part layout for that player, and either switch to galley view there or temporarily disallow instrument changes?

Also, you could use the Instrument Filter to reduce the number of instruments you see in Galley View:

This might be the quickest way of staying focused on only the few instruments you currently want to see.

Another way is to just write something in the current instrument, select it, and Alt-M to move it down to the staff below (or Alt-N for the staff above)!
