Hi! I’d like to make a selection in my score and have the have the instrument filter filter out any staff without content. Is there anything like that?
You can make a big selection, filter notes and chords, and make a new instrument filter from the resulting selection. But I guess you’re wanting it more automatic than that.
The easiest way to hide non-playing staves on a continuous basis is to work in page view.
Ok, thanks! I have page-view transposed condensed running, but it’s not so easy to work there.
Maybe I can make a macro for it?
Transposition has no speed penalty, but obviously condensing has. There’s no harm in turning condensing off, as long as you ignore any layout issues until all the content is in.
