Instrument names not displayed correctly

Hi, the instrument names in my score are not showing the same way. Despite all my attempts, I cannot figure out how to fix this.

The oboes (Hb.) display the way I want all instruments to look. However, clarinets 1 and 2 are on a single line (1.2), French horns 1 and 3 are on line 1.3 while 2 and 4 are stacked, and the trumpets are stacked with ‘tpt.’ repeated twice. How can I make all the instrument names display uniformly?

There are many options in Engraving Options > Staff Labels for example

Regarding the trumpets check the spelling. Just one (invisible) leading or trailing space character can make the difference.

or simply change to the same instrument to reset everything…

You should find that the trumpets will behave as expected.

Hi Mark, I only had to change Trumpet 1 to trumpet and everything came back to normal.

Hi Vadian, I just didn’t remember where were those Engraving Options (under Library) thanks for your help.

For the trumpets, I just had to change trumpet 1 to another trumpet and it solved the problem. I guess respelling the names would have been good to
