Instrument previewer track question

Hi, I am new to Cubase. I am seeking to add an instrument track. I would like to listen to a few instruments in the previewer section of the add new instrument box before selecting my instrument. When I select an instrument and hit play in the previewer area, I hear nothing

Hi and welcome,

The Previewer of all windows is routed to Monitor 1 bus of Control Room.

  1. Open VST Connections > Output. Set your main out to Not Connected.
  2. Open VST Connections > Studio, Add Channel > Monitor 1, route it’s output to your main speakers.
