Hello, I am a novice user of Cubase 14, I use italian version. When I try to record an “instrument track” (ie. Halion Sonic Piano Concert) I can hear the sounds and see the levels moving but the recording event is not retained, resulting in an empty track. Am I missing something? Can you help me?
My Cubase istallation is pretty new, I did not touch much except the Studio Audio Connections.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi.
Can you please post a screenshot of the Track and make sure to include the section of the Inspector that shows the MIDI Routing.
Try changing the Track’s MIDI Channel setting from 1 to Any.
Done, don’t work
I think it should be something about the default setting of Cubase
What do you do to start recording…?

When you try Recording does it initially create a MIDI Part which then gets deleted when you stop Recording?
Just a guess…
The keyboard of the instrument sends no MIDI to the host, so it is not possible to record that. You need to use a virtual MIDI keyboard (ALT+K) or a hardware keyboard.
Ok, it works using the PC Keyboard with ALT-K.
Thank you
