So I got a new apogee symphony mkii interface and everything seems fine. But every time I add a new vst instrument Kontakt or other it gets panned hard right. Even when I physically try to centre the pan it keeps jumping back hard right. I’ve tried with a new project and even unplugged all usb devices. Anyone else having this problem or have any solutions?
Running latest Ventura on a 2019 Mac Pro.
How do you add the instrument?
From a VST preset? Or a track preset?
I’m just right clicking on the track list and choosing add instrument from the menu
Do you have any kind of MIDI controller running? Or any MIDI remote script that can default to the apogee midi ports (don’t know that AI, but imagine it has MIDI)? I once had a similar issue, and it was my controller sending messages when I changed scenes in it (I have one scene for MIDI remote and other for CC control within MIDI tracks)
Thanks I figured it out. Weirdly I had an instrument that was assigned to vienna ensemble pro 7 but I didn’t open the server application. For some weird reason it was causing the pan to move to the right.
