Instrument tracks that just stop working... unless soloed

This happens to me too. Every time I try to compose something. I literally use this software for my job. Has no one at Steinberg a care about such an important bug? Ridiculous. Please fix this. How do you get Steinberg’s attention?

I stumbled on this thread… My midi tracks sent to a GM ROM box suddenly are cutting out after I solo a Kontakt tack. Can’t figure out why and the only fix I’ve found is to save and then reboot. Magically all the tracks then play correctly… until I solo a Kontakt track… second verse, same as the first. Rinse repeat. I’m on v13 LE and a MAC M1 mini with the latest system.

This work-around also works in Cubase 12.

Still an issue in Nuendo 13.0.20.

Workaround is to duplicate the track and remove the old one.

I have started having this problem and cannot see what the cause is

Pro 13 and luckily the Mute/Unmute trick works

Very annoying though

WORKS!!! … amazing how we figure these things out… THANKS!! I dont think I would have even considered that… in fact I didnt even know about muting automation. What made you think of this LOL?

Happens often here. The track is muted somehow but the mute indicator is not lit up. As was stated, muting it and unmuting it resets the issue.

Bug 15 of the 73 unfixed issues I’ve encountered with the program since Cubase 8…

Just posting to say it is still an issue in Cubase 14 and 15. Muting and unmuting the track fixes it but it is super annoying. There are also versions of the problem where the track plays in the project but is muted when exporting audio..

I have had this many times. I had to solo, mute, unsolo tracks and etc, then it mysteriously fixes by itself. I see this bug dated back 2014. So where is the fix? And where is the response from Steinberg? I heard that pros are using Cubase?
