I’ve just seen this - I think it’s pretty good. To me the strings sound a little thin, but the orchestral tuttis seem really very good to me, especially the brass. Not bad for a first version.

The downside is that it’s standalone. It accepts XML, but of course that’s a lot less convenient than having direct playback from Dorico.
Yup. Exactly. And that’s before we get round to the issue of price - $649 will buy you the basics of an orchestra (13 instruments) with a couple of saxes thrown in for good measure.
I bought Dreamtronics V Studio 2 a while ago. I was after vocal synthesis more closely associated with non operatic singers. Reasonable results - not bad, not brilliant. However, I stopped using it because the entire process, starting with the XML side of things, takes you down a different road and the results weren’t good enough for the amount of effort I was prepared to put in (the bare minimum). Sure, you can tweak a whole bunch of stuff to make it sound better but I’m not a sound engineer and I don’t really want to be.
