Instrumental tracks regarding volume changes

Cubase 14 Pro

Is there anyway I can change the volume at certain in my project of an instrument track or do I have to render it to Audio?

Alan Russell

Hi,

I probably misread your question…
You can control the level at any given time via automation and you can do so in more than one way. I am sure you already know… so, can you please be a bit more specific?

Cheers!

Typo “at certain points” I am just trying to avoid creating a render in place audio track because I do review my instrumental track especially when I want to further edit it when using SWAM For instance I created a brass section 3 instrument tracks and I decided towards the end of the project I wanted to create a more dynamic first trumpet ending. Instead of rendering the first trumpet track I wanted to find a way to raise the volume at that point in the track to make it stand out more

As Reco says, you can do this with automation.

I am familiar with this video but I was looking for another quick alternative

Can you point us in the right direction? What exactly do you have in mind? Assigning key commands or something like that?

Open automation lane (it will default to volume) range select the part you want to adjust, drag the level up or down. It doesn’t get much quicker than that.

Please reply to any of my E-mails sent that it was read and received.

Thank you,

Alan

Ok thanks
