Instruments deleted when closing and reopening a project

I thought I was going crazy and had accidentally deleted whole instruments from a project, until I realized that Dorico automatically and without warning deletes instruments that are not assigned to any flow when a project is closed and re-opened. This seems counterintuitive and completely stupid. I had not downloaded the latest patch yet so this behavior at least happens in 4.0.20.

Hopefully, it could be addressed so that this would not happen. My thanks otherwise for all the hard work on Dorico to the team – the recent quick pace of patches is much appreciated.

I have an orchestral template. When I’ve finished working on a film cue (one flow per file) I hide all the players I’m not using as I don’t want to see them at the start of the score but I want the tacet part for the players for printing.
