Hello, In the attached screenshot, I have a doubling player (
Kazoo → Bassoon). I would like the instrument change to
visually begin at the beginning of the system/page for a cleaner conductor score.
Right now, Dorico still shows the previous Kazoo continuation line/staff until the first bassoon entrance, while the Bassoon staff also appears, so visually there are two staves for the same player at the beginning of the system.
Ideally, I would like to manually decide exactly where an instrument change visually begins for a doubling player, so that only the Bassoon staff appears from the beginning of the system.Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks in advance!

It’s a little hard to tell what’s going on there. You say you only want the bassoon staff from the beginning of the system, but it looks like the kazoo is still playing at the beginning of the system – the fourth staff, unless I’m misreading.
The vertical spacing of the bassoon staff also looks odd. What is the fifth staff?
