Finale refugee. In Finale, we have the ability via JW Lua script to tell Finale to slur every beat, certain number of notes, etc. Does anyone know if such a feature exists in Dorico? It can be very tedious in writing longer passages even with copy pasting the slur.
You could use Paste special>Paste articulations
Could you use a legato playback technique to join the notes without a single slur over everything?
I’m really looking for something where I just highlight the region and say slur per beat. Right now just pasting the slurs is tedious because it’s over a 32-bar phrase.
Not for this notation. These are actual slurs for bowing/articulation instead of just legato. If it was for piano or harp, slurs are pretty much just decorative, but since this is for orchestra, the slurs have to be used.
What @Janus meant, I think, is copy a bar with the correct slurs, then select all the bars where you want them and Paste Special→Articulations

Sorry, I was in a rush earlier.
Exactly as @jesele describes. Copy the notes with the basic pattern, highlight the target area and paste special…
I use it all the time for string bowing and it is it very quick
Quite so, but I was interpreting your question along different lines.
