I’m using the Envelope Follower modulator to duck the delay on a vocal track. The dial on the modulator keeps changing back to a previously set value, even if I remove the modulator, add a new instance and set a different value.
This is not specific to one project, either. Has anyone else had (or been having) the same issue?
Can you post a screenshot whixh of the dials you mean?
Is there any automation data already written for the connected parameter? Maybe just an initialization point?
No. I don’t use automation on the EF Modulator in particular. I use it predominantly as a ducking facility (as you can see from the negative value on the Modulation Depth control), so it does what I need it to do without the need for automation.
What’s most puzzling is that even when I remove the EF Modulator and replace it with a new instance, the dial still jumps back to a value that was previously set, sometimes immediately after changing the value and other times after a few minutes or longer/shorter.
It’s gotten to the point where I’m afraid to use it, especially in a mixing scenario.
The automation wouldn’t be on the modulator but on the target parameter, in your example EQ2 Gain.
