Hi,
i’m new on this forum. Sometime friends ask me to record their instruments, and they re happy of what i do. i have a Focusrite as audio card, and there’s no problem with guitars, piano. Problems come with Strings (cellos, violin) because some notes could be rising or falling sound, expecially in fast classical music. i know software and plug in as Melodyne but i shouls operate note by note. is there anything in cubase that automatically tunes every falling sound to the nearest note? example if i play a A at 430Hz, it lifts to 440Hz ?
OFF TOPIC: if cubase cannot do it, is there any other way/software/plug in to do it?
Thank you so much for help!
Hi,
Not for the polyphonic instruments (as the string section is).
You can use Melodyne, you mentioned, as the ARA plug-in.
what is ARA plug in? does melodyne automatically do what i could need?
You could try Pitch Correct. Or there’s AutoTune. Waves does something, I believe.
Best solution is to tell your friends to play in tune!
Hi,
ARA plug-in is a specific plug-in type with the Audio Random Access. Cubase and Melodyne support this plug-in type.
Yes, you can select the material and “quantize” the Pitch. I recommend downloading Melodyne Trial and testing it in your use case.
he does, but sometime in hard position of high-pitched sounds i hear something bad.
thank you i will download Melodyne and Antarestec, i will let you know. as i am a hobbist, my answer will come here in some weeks! sorry!
