The engineer-oriented mix console in Cubase is very traditional and what mixing engineers have been used to for decades, which is great, so it should definitely be in Cubase. But for many artists (non-engineers), if you use any complex routing with many joins and forks, it can get somewhat unintuitive and disorienting to work with. So I imagine, there could be an additional intuitive way to view and edit the mix routing with visible wires and true moveable GUI objects representing the tracks and channels. Something like those below.
