Invalid medium

Hi, I’m trying out wave alchemy Triaz as a plugin, in the plugin you can render a preset to audio and drag the rendered audio into the DAW (cb 13 win 11) but, when I render the audio and drag it onto an audio track, I get this message, Error: medium type not supported or invalid medium, I have mailed wave alchemy , but still waiting for a reply, any suggestions please? thank you
EDIT ! this was a short reply, Hi, audio export is definitely working as expected in Cubase 13 here. We use that DAW daily, and have never come across an issue, nor have we received any similar feedback. Is this on Mac or Windows, and what project settings are you running in terms of Sample rate / bit depth?

So what where your answers to these questions?
What is the name of the file extension of the file you’re dragging in?
Are you sure it’s the correct one and not some temp file or something?
Maybe upload a small audio file that you rendered for someone to take a look at if if you still can’t get it to work?

There has been no reply, I tried every sample rate/ bit depth, even reset cubase settings, , I cannot upload an audio file because the daw wont accept the rendered file , thats the point of this post?

Hi,

What was your reply to the questions?

Have you read this?

“Rendered” means a file is created so saying you’re trying to drag in a rendered file suggests there is a file.

Do you mean that you’re supposed to be able to drag directly from this plugins gui into the timeline?

Hi,

Do you know from the plug-in vendor, what kind of file (and all the details) they render? Is it WAV, MP3, AIFF, FLAC? What Sample Rate, what BitDepth?

So the plugin is creating a file somewhere. It just hides that from you by giving the option to drag direct.
I would find out from the developer where this file is being rendered (or immediately after rendering search your system for most recently created files) and then you can confirm that it’s actually being created and what it’s format is.

But thats not the point really is it? you are supposed to drag the file from the plugin into the daw like the video is showing :frowning:

If you want to fix the problem, you need to know what the cause of the problem is.
Doing what I said hopefully leads to understanding what the cause is.
Seems like that’s really the pertinent point…solving your issue…no?

Cannot find a single file in any folder that represents triaz rendered audio

Well that may mean it’s not being created by the plugin or it may just mean you’re looking in the wrong place.
I would ask the developer to please confirm if it is actually rendering a wav file to disk and if so where because you want to check whether it’s failing at export or import stage.
