I think it will be better if, when you have minimum vertical zoom on events, you have time selection activated instead of object selection. Now is object selection active. Or it will be great if we have some option to switch it in preferences.
This feature request is correlates with global logic of these tools - time selection is for broad overview of arrange when you have zoom out and object selection is for narrow, precise work with events when you have zoom in,
