(iOS) Can you record an unlooped take while loops play?

Couldn’t find this in the manual or on YT. Trying to record one long, unlooping track over a one-bar drum loop. I can set up a loop fine, but when I record my new track, it loops also. I’d rather not have to copy/paste a bunch of drum snippets down the track if I can just have a small section loop while I record. Any insights are appreciated!

Hi,

I’m sorry, this is not possible. The Cycle applies for all tracks.

Good to know, thanks!

Hi @Duoso

Thanks for your message.

Actually it is quick and simple to extend the length of a loop or more events in Cubasis. Created a short clip for your which shows both, and it actually takes no time to do…

Hope that helps.

Best,
Lars

Thanks for the kind reply @Duoso!
Hope the clip is of help for you!

Forgot to add in the video: a long tap on an event (or multiple selected events) automatically sets the loop region (L/R markers) accordingly. Please give it a try…

Best,
Lars

I understand what you’re asking. The only way to do this that I know is to use a looper….you can get a terrible looper like L7 for $3 or something, but it’s buggy….the alternative is Loopy Pro, which is 10x the price but worth every penny for what it is - perhaps the best looper on the planet
