The iOS split screen controls block the position of the transport play button in both full and split view. While this can be disabled for all apps at the OS level, it is a useful feature for other apps. Comparing to AUM, split screen can be disabled by the application which removes the ellipses […] control from the UI when the application has focus. Suggest disabling split screen support in Cubasis.
Cubasis 3.8, iOS 18.5, iPad Mini 7th gen
On iPadOS you can in the Cubasis settings select to show the status bar, when enabled it won’t block the transport controls.
Also when updated to iPadOS26 the ‘three dots’ that were used for multi-tasking are no longer there to block the transport bar as you’ve got other means to control this.
Thanks @Samuel_Lindeman, these are a good workaround and tip. I’d certainly prefer to run Cubasis w/o the status bar since every pixel on an iPad Mini is precious and I won’t be updating this iPad to 26 just yet. Appreciate the assistance.
I’ll just add that if double-tapping on the transport controls ‘zooms’ the window (it’s an iPadOS26 gesture to re-size windows by double-tap on the toolbar) is bothering it’s relatively easy to temporarily disable the windowed modes from the Control Center.
