IPad Pro Cubasis and Fantom 7

Hopefully I did not overlook something, and also my question is not too stupid. I have purchased cubasis 2 for use on an ipad pro and with a Fantom 7. My goal is to work on my own music,using the fantom as the audio device to input to cubasis. Following information found in the internet, I am using an apple lightning to USB3 camera kit adapter. The full connection I am trying is as follows:
Ipad pro out via lightning / camera Kit , connecting this via USB cable to the Fantom 7 USB/Computer port.
But it doesnt work.
What am I doing wrong , or is this just generally< not going to work for me ?

Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately we’re not equipped with Roland’s Fantom 7, so we’re unable to test the case and/or make statements about the audio interface capabilities of the device.

I’d suggest to get in touch with Roland about the issue, and offer to have them equipped with Cubasis promo codes for testing purposes.
In this case, please let me have their contacts via PM to have them equipped accordingly.
