i was wondering if i am editing a file on ipad how do i make the same edits on a windows computer?
or if i would update on a windows computer would it automatically update on my ipad?
That depends if the files are stored in synchronized folders. This is not a function of Dorico itself, but of the respective OS and maybe third-party sync software. The easiest way would probably be to use iCloud, as i(Pad)OS is a notoriously obstinate backseat driver when it comes to file management.
Having both versions of a software open and having it keep track with every change made by the other version live is probably a huge and tedious developing task. Personally, I do not know of any full-fledged desktop software that can do this, usually such capabilities are found on applications that run on a central server and are being controlled by client software.
