Is anyone else cubase 14 pro Behaving So slow

Hi,

anyone else-

Backing up project taking more than 10 mins,

asio guard keep peaking,

Disk cache keep peaking,

not many plugins on project,

everything just behaving slow in cubase pro.

i restarted a cubase but, is that a bug or cubase want us to upgrade this way..

What’s your setup? OS, RAM, storage, etc? If you’re running really low on free disk space, that can happen.

Are you running any other applications while using Cubase? Installed anything new lately?

I had a same setup from Last 5 years,

I run window 11 with 32 Ram c drive has 460Gb free.

It was fine till last week, i didnt had any issue with speed. Even i can run 256 buffer size, now its acting same even on 2048.

I just realize disk cache hits peaks when i play the track. I am not sure if its normal.

I didnt download any new plugin either.

Im having the same issue, I updated to 14.0.40 recently and since then, all my projects playback weird, the meters move slowly, just like the spectrum analyser in the eq window. The click track doesn’t play in time to the tempo of the song. Not sure what to do as nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be welcome

I have now resolved the issue I having, thought I’d share my findings.

There were a few things happening simultaneously, loading T-Racks 5’s Comprexxor plugin and SSL’s Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor in the same session, caused Cubase to crash. Further investigation revealed the SSL 360 enabled plugins were crashing Cubase via conflict with the TR5 plugin.

The next issue I had was meters moving slow, like I said in my first post. After a lot of troubleshooting and deleting plugins one by one I noticed Mastering The Mix plugin REF SEND was making the session playback in a weird way. Removing it solved this issue of slow metering and audio playing out of sync.

Back to the SSL, TR5 conflict / crashing. I contacted SSL’s support team explaining my issue and they got back to me with download links to updated versions of their 360 enabled plugins, which I’ve now installed.

Not sure is this will help but I thought I’d share just in case.

Thats good you solve that.. I notice soothe 2 and n some other plugins just cover 1/4th of the asio meter.. other thing which is happening when i try to open new project from the current project. most of the time cubase crash which is so weird and no crashdump created on this occasion and sometime its just come up freeze at start of the cubase (terminated reason). Dont know what to do really! i am just so friendly with CTRL + S these days in case.
