Is Cubase 13 handling latency better than Cubase 11?

I have recently bought a more powerful PC but I have not seen a significant change in latency.
Is Cubase 13 handling latency better than Cubase 11 and if so, why?

no :expressionless:

No, and I’m exploring why ad nauseum. 'Cause I’m stubborn like that!

No, because latency depends basically on the specifications of your sound card, not Cubase itself. Take a look here for the best contenders (currently, RME HDSPe AIO Pro).

There’s more going on with latency than just the audio drivers in Windows 11/Cubase 13. I think most of us are referring to DPC/ISR latency, NOT audio latency.

Yes, it is more related to DPC and ISR.
My sound card is the same, my RAM is the same but now I have an I9-13900F processor as opposed to my old I7 from 2013. Normally the computing power and the additional cores should speed up things but it doesn’t really. It seems that the Windows kernel module and graphics are affecting DPC as well.
