Is Cubase Pro 13 Tempo BPM Max 360?

Hey all! My buddy is working on practicing for a jazz gig where they are playing a song at some very high swing tempos. He sent me a bass track and asked me to give him stretched copies at BPMs 340, 360, 380 and 390 (for the non-jazzers, yes some crazy bebop swing is as high as 400 and up). I can’t get the tempo past 360. Seems really odd if Cubase is set to top off here? I tried to dig around in the manual, preferences, Google to no avail. Anyone know the deal? Ty!

Hi,

I’m not with Cubase at this moment.

In any case, you can set the half time (170BPM; 180BPM; 190BPM; 195BPM) and stretch the audio to the grid this way too.

Set the audio file’s tempo to something very slow, like 1/8th of the actual tempo of the recording, then multiply to get to your target tempo, then your client can even play beyond 1200 for the quarter note. A side benefit is that Donna Lee only takes a minute to play even with a 30 chorus guitar solo.
