Is it possible to apply a parameter to only one note in a chord?

Please forgive the potentially noobish question. I’m just getting started learning Cubase Elements 10.5 . I’m trying to write a string part with a section of cellos, violas, and violins. I would like only one of the violas to slide up to the next note using pitch bend, but when I try to do this it invariably causes every note in the phrase to also pitch up at the same time. Is there a way to apply a parameter such as pitch bend to only one note in a chord without creating an entirely separate instrument track?
