Is it possible to have different filters for each oscillator?

Cubase 13 (latest), Halion 7.1

As far as I can see, it appears the Filter section in the Analog Synth Instrument of Halion 7 will affect ALL sound combined coming from Osc 1, 2, 3, Sub, Noise etc.

My question: is there a way of having a filter setting affect only output of Osc 1, and a completely different filter setting affect only the output of Osc 2? Example would be:

  • Osc 1 sine wave with LP24 at 200Hz
  • Osc 2 sawtooth wave with BP 500Hz

Thanks! Happy to provide further details if needed.

The answer is yes and no!
A single “Synth Zone” has only one filter for all its oscillators but you can achieve that with combining several “Synth Zones” in one program. If you want to stay HALion Sonic compatible, then it can be up to 4, if you want to use the program in HALion only, the amount of “Synth Zones” per program is only limited by your CPU power.

Here are two examples:

  1. HALion Sonic compatible (4 Synthzones)
    HS7_4Layer_4Zone.vstpreset (13.2 KB)

  2. Halion (simple structure 10 Synthzones)
    H7_Simple_10Zone.vstpreset (8.8 KB)
