Is it possible to start recording and setting how much time it should record?

Hi,
I want to record the output of a tape player, and want to setup cubase to stop after a certain amount of time. Can this be done ?

Yes.

Set the right locator where you want the recording to stop.

Click on “Activate Punch Out” (to tell Cubase to stop recording at the right locator).

In addition to @alin89c 's directions, you might find it useful to change your Ruler (or add a 2nd) from Bars & Beats to Minutes & Seconds

Hi,
I have managed to set the interval so that recording happens just there. But I want a recording interval of 50 minutes, and cubase only lets me extend the right locator to about 9 minutes,
Can this be worked around ?
