Is it safe to uninstall old version of Cubase?

Just want to add on this thread that I have found that uninstalling old Users//Library/Preferences/Cubase / folders for prior versions of Cubase has actually solved the issue of Audio Connections window not finding saved Presets in its dropdown menu. This was happening for me on Cubase 12 on MacOS 10.15 (but I see it’s also been reported occurring on PC).

So I wouldn’t recommend keeping older versions of Cubase installed if not needed - they have the potential to cause conflicts with current versions.

I am having essentially same problem, first occurred about a week ago. 10pro on Windows 10. All my studio connections presets are gone. I was unable to restore them, so I created new connections and saved a preset. Next day, that was gone too. Had one-time message from windows OS saying “PFN error”

Well it’s not really this what’s bugging me. Obviously there is no software-fix for just sleeping on your device to turn on in time it’s just that it bugs me how the recalling of presets / output devices doesn’t really work as it should. I think it’s a software bug.
