Here’s the scenario. I’ve got 8 bars of 16th notes in a pedal point arrangement.
I want to harmonize the melodic notes. At this stage, I would like to mute the pedal point notes. I tried selecting all of those notes in a measure and used the Quick Link function to mute them all with the mute tool. But that didn’t work. Only the one note touched by the tool, muted.
I had to individually mute and unmute the 16 notes per measure. Very tedious.
Quick Link is for the areas of the mix console and some Inspector settings but not the midi editors.
After selecting the desired notes I use the command “mute object”. You could also click the Mute field in the Info Line.
The suggested Logical Editor settings are also a nice way to go about it.
Or you can build a car. Use the car to drive to a port. Take a ship to South Africa. There hop into a hot air ballon and hope it will bring you to India. There find a guru and hope for enlightment.
That is also a way. But using the mute object command is easier.
I still can’t believe they got rid of the PROJECT BROWSER! That was like amputating an arm or a leg!! I wasn’t interested in most of the feature updates from 13, on. But when I learned about the removal of the browser, I became a “permanent resident” of N12!
