Good Evening,
Could someone provide a CC121 service manual, or schematic or instructions for replacing the motorized fader (even against payment)?
Thanks in advance
Patrick
Hi,
here’s a link to the manual:
It won’t be of much help with regard to replacing the motor fader. However, you’ll see regional phone numbers at the end of the manual for tech support. I guess this is the best shot to get your hands on information about electronic circuits or authorized repair shops.
Good luck!
Thanks Reco29,
I allready have this manual, and this is now YAMAHA who hold technical support for Steinberg Hardware.
Theirs answers were …unrelevant to say the less.
Good Day
Hi,
I found a thread in the German forum about a guy successfully replacing a motor fader of the CC121. You can translate it via DeepL and alikes. The guy describes which exact Yamaha fader model you need (and more importantly which one doesn’t work) and where you can buy it. After that it should just take a bit of soldering which shouldn’t be a problem!
Thank you Reco,
I allready read this threads and find a replacement part (in a french wholesaler webshop)
My search is for how proceeding (not only soldering)
Ah, okay. If I were you I would just take the unit and the new fader to any local shop for electronic devices (preferrably for radios, record players - washing machines would do, too) which also offers a repair service. It should only take a couple of minutes to replace the part for a skilled technician.
Any local DIY initiatives around which help people to repair their used devices?
Once you got the correct fader it shouldn’t be a huge problem anymore.
Bonne chance!
Hi @Alvmad , I can’t answer to your message or even open it in my browser.
The subject (which I made my previous post to you) was deleted.
I do agree to a 10€ Paypal payment for the files
Thanks
Merci Reco,
Je sais souder et (dessouder), mais y-a-t-il une procédure pour initialiser les 0-100% du fader comme sur certaines consoles, je ne sais pas, et je préférerai ne pas faire de conneries.
I’m afraid I can’t answer this particular question - that’s beyond my technical scope (given that I read your post correctly, my French is a bit rusty - btw.: please stick to English, s’il vous plaît).
However, this is a general question how faders are initialised within the 0-100% range if you replace a unit. I would suggest to open a new thread asking about this exact question. I am confident someone here can give you an educated answer.
Thanks for your concern and help Reco,
This “initializing” for digital console or surface control could be a bit tricky.
I never worked on YAMAHA digital hardware.
