Is the absolute limit three cards?

Hi all!

Well, the title says it all. But what if i have three cards and then connect a forth card to ANOTHER FireWire port that i have? Will this forth card be of no use or? Will it even show up in the mixer? Can the drivers handle this?

Or is the actual limit THREE cards and NOT a single more

Many thanks in advance!

haha, what are u going to record ??
up to 3 units can be daisycahined , up to 48 channels with ADATs in 48khz

well, I have a lot of hardware so  I already have 3 ADAT’s connected, that’s why I asked. So is this possible or not? And it’s ONLY 24 channels in stereo

Thanks!

nop. maximum 48 in/out.

if u need more than that u have to buy a special audio-card with lot of Adat connections to connect all your Mr816 and other ADA converters.
dont know if there is such a device. u need to search.

But what if i have three cards and then connect a forth card to ANOTHER FireWire port that i have?

try to use ASIO4ALL to connect all audio cards to computer. but i dont think it will work.

if u dont record all your musical devices at same time to different tracks why not using an mixer desk ?
