Is the following a bug?

Hello all,

I start from the following situation with the 1/8th note selected (notice its accent and staccato marks):

If now I press the ‘6’ key to transform it in a 1/4th note, it will be represented as 2 tied 1/8th ones distributing the marks on the 2 notes (the accent on the first one, the staccato on the second):

Is it a bug, or is it the correct way to represent it?

It’s working as designed. An accent affects the front of the note, and a staccato mark affects the end of a note. Of course that’s up for debate, and so the choice is left to you.
