I’ve just revisited this and no matter what I do, I can’y get midi remote to “send” data to my controller. I’m using Lemur on an Ipad via a Mackbook Pro M5.I know the midi connections are fine because I can record data on a midi track and send it to Lemur and it works fine. Not to mention bidirectional works fine with generic remote, any ideas?
I think it would be useful to describe what you do, so that we all can check why it fails.
MR is b-directional. When using the UI setup, you have to set your controls to reply to the midi output. Beware that this will not work for commands. Commands don’t have feedback.
If using scripting, things cat get more advanced, and feedback display values too, not just midi values.
AS I said, the generic remote “sends” midi perfectly on the correct channel. I have the same channel assigned in the midi remote and I get no output.
To be clear, I’m mapping my several faders in Lemur to (i.e.) eq and compressor settings on a channel strip plugin. When I move my controller the appropriate control on the channel strip follows but if I move the same fader on the channel strip, nothing happens on my Lemur controller.
