Is there a channel stereo width/spread control?

I coulda sworn I was playing around with a Width knob, which I thought was located in the channel strip tools somewhere. But I can’t find it now.

Is it my imagination?

I don’t think it’s in the channel strip, but there’s a plugin:

and Cubase 12 Pro also has a multiband version:

Oh yeah! It was def the stereo enhancer plugin that had the width knob I used. Thanks for the tips!

The Stereo Combined Panner (Pro only) can also control the width.

I used this before and great tip. The only thing I didn’t like is it’s tedious to operate.

But not to expand it, only to narrow it.

I think that would be an awesome feature to add to the Combined Stereo Panner, a built in StereoEnhancer.

PS. Waves did that with their Studio Rack and it works very intuitively and seamlessly.

Indeed. If they can also make it a bit more drastically.
200% is enough for most cases but there are times I wish to push certain tracks close to out-of-phase point for psychoacoustic effects and so I use Brainworx bx_control V2 which can go up to 400% wide while letting you decide if you want to treat up to a certain frequency as mono.

there ya go
