Is there a template for pop music band in Dorico for iPad?

It seems that I can’t find a template for it.
I mean the most common one.
Vocal, Guitar, Keyboard, Bass and Drum.
Currently I can start with a voice template. And add the ensemble → rhythm section → Pop Rhytm Section.
Is it expected? Is there a built-in template for such one?
Thank you.

It seems that I can’t create a custom project template in iPad version. Right? It’s available in the Desktop version.

Create New project, Empty template,
Give it a title etc. on the right;
then tap Create project button (bottom right);
Add Ensemble …Rhythm section … Pop Rhythm section
which gives you Piano, Guitar, Bass guitar, Drums.
Then add a vocalist.

Does this work for you?

It‘s absolutely the way I create a project for pop band music. I’m asking whether there is a built-in template. Or whether I can save a project as template like the Desktop version.

Just create the file the way you want it and save it with no music in it. It’s not a template file per se but it’s an empty file set up with the instruments and everything else set up how you want it, just remember to ‘save as’ before you’ve put any music in it…

Where’s the save as in iPad version?

Try using the Share Icon. Top Right hand corner, second icon from the right. The last item on the list (“Dorico Project”) enables you to export your Project to a folder of your choice.

Thank you. It does help. I can use custom ensembles with empty project as template.
A small question, how can I remove custom ensembles?

@arco did you find a way to remove the custom ensembles? I can build a new one. But I can’t find a way to remove it.

No, all I could find here was a location in the computer version, so I presume the iPad version is “hidden away” also. I would have expected one of the Dorico team, perhaps @dspreadbury to pick this thread up and reply, hopefully someone will now.

All I can find is this one.

In the desktop version, an xml modification is required to remove custom ensembles. It seems that there’s no UI way to do it.
I don’t think that there’s a way to modify the userlibrary.xml manually for iPad version.

That’s correct. At the moment there’s no way to remove a custom ensemble via the user interface in Dorico, either on the desktop or on the iPad. It’s something we need to add.

It would be great if the ensemble remove is added.
@dspreadbury A small question to confirm, currently there’s no custom project template for iPad. Right?
