It seems that I can’t find a template for it.
I mean the most common one.
Vocal, Guitar, Keyboard, Bass and Drum.
Currently I can start with a voice template. And add the ensemble → rhythm section → Pop Rhytm Section.
Is it expected? Is there a built-in template for such one?
Thank you.
It seems that I can’t create a custom project template in iPad version. Right? It’s available in the Desktop version.
Create New project, Empty template,
Give it a title etc. on the right;
then tap Create project button (bottom right);
Add Ensemble …Rhythm section … Pop Rhythm section
which gives you Piano, Guitar, Bass guitar, Drums.
Then add a vocalist.
It‘s absolutely the way I create a project for pop band music. I’m asking whether there is a built-in template. Or whether I can save a project as template like the Desktop version.
Just create the file the way you want it and save it with no music in it. It’s not a template file per se but it’s an empty file set up with the instruments and everything else set up how you want it, just remember to ‘save as’ before you’ve put any music in it…
Try using the Share Icon. Top Right hand corner, second icon from the right. The last item on the list (“Dorico Project”) enables you to export your Project to a folder of your choice.
No, all I could find here was a location in the computer version, so I presume the iPad version is “hidden away” also. I would have expected one of the Dorico team, perhaps @dspreadbury to pick this thread up and reply, hopefully someone will now.
That’s correct. At the moment there’s no way to remove a custom ensemble via the user interface in Dorico, either on the desktop or on the iPad. It’s something we need to add.
It would be great if the ensemble remove is added. @dspreadbury A small question to confirm, currently there’s no custom project template for iPad. Right?
