Is there a way to batch adding the all the embedded markers from audio files into a montage?

is there a way to batch add the all the embedded markers from all the audio files I need into a montage? without having to import markers from active clip one by one? am I missing a good trick here?

This is not possible.
But isn’t viewing the source markers enough (rather than importing them?). Because then this is global.

thanks PG, never used it :joy:, that would be enough :+1:

If you have 5 files, open all the files in Audio Editor.
Create Montage from Individual Files.
There WL has an option to Import Markers as you mentioned.

Assuming you created 5 Montages, you can copy clip from one montage to the other and the Markers will show up.

Another option is to create marker at end of each file and create one audio file with all your files and markers. Then you have one file with all markers that you can import to montage and cut and split at the end marker.

WL must create option for this in a future update if I got the question right.

Hi!

or use “Add to a Audio Montage” then you get markers from different wav or clips
into one Montage if you like…

You have one Montage you add clips from wavs in the Audio Editor
then you get Markers into the Montage if you like one after the other…

  1. right click on Audio file create Montage with Markers
  2. right click on next wav “Add to” the same Montage as a new clip
  3. etc…

I’ve found a way around, I can import the files sequentially with markers included into reaper with the same specs as my WL file, and export the reaper CSV markers list which enables me to import them globally into my WL montage, however just viewing them should be enough

Was about to suggest importing markers through marker toolbar, but you were asking for solution in WL forum. Nice to know you got things working for you. How many files did you have for this task? Also, I did not know multiple files with markers could not be imported to Montage.

59, with about 300 markers and about 17hrs of material :+1:, the markers inserted at record on a different daw that I’m not 100% sure what it was with errors/gaps to close/things to look at

That was nice to know. This works for individual clips. Please make this for all clips in the future.
