Is there a way to display the squiggle line

I can’t seem to get the squiggle line to display when placing the “Tr” trill symbol in a part.

Check the properties panel
If you have more than one note selected it will add the line automatically.
Also if you select the first trill and use cmd-shift-A one or two times you can select all of the trills to change the property.
Or (easiest) Library->Engraving Options->Ornaments->Trills set to always show.
