Are you sure? That would be very strange!
If I record a script, or want to run a script the default directory that opens is:
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Dorico5
that is definitely NOT the location to place user content, as non-admin you don’t even have acces to that directory!
Sorry, by “standard Dorico location”, I mean the location where Dorico stores your preferences, default options, Playback Templates, etc.
I can’t remember what the Windows file path is, but it’s in the User area, not the Program area, I think.
I suspect that Windows is just opening any old location when you pull up a file selection dialog, rather than the ‘home’ for scripts.

Che k the Roaming/Steinberg /Dorico 5 directory. There should be a Users scripts folder. That is where you should record your own scripts.
