Is there a way to put X on stem to indicate dead stroke of marimba and vibraphone?
If you don’t need one of the tremolos, I think the easiest way is to change that to a cross in Library->Music Symbols.

AFAIK, it still is not possible directly, but this is a thread with options, including as Jesper has mentioned.
I still need this tremolo… and it is actually a very common notation for percussion. I was a Finale user. I hope that Dorico develop a function for user to choose custom stem.

Do you need all the tremolos? Otherwise, pick another one or see the post from @arco with a notehead solution.
