Is there a way to select note by rhythmic position?

I have a long 16th-note figure where I would like to select the first note of each bar to throw an accent < on them. Is there a way to select the whole passage, then filter to select just the first note of every bar? (Sibelius had a way to do this, it was awkward but saved a lot of clicking).

I don’t think think there’s a way of filtering by rhythmic position.

That would be a very helpful feature.

There’s very few things I miss about Sibelius and I will never go back. Dorico is far superior. That Sib feature was almost impossible to use anyhow, the semantic was unclear, trial and error to get it to work as intended.

I would definitely second a request for this feature! In a recent project, I had many an occasion to do something like this. As far as I know, you can’t filter for rhythmic positions yet, but it would definitely be REALLY handy.

BTW, Finale had a few different 3rd party plug-ins that would do something similar. It didn’t “filter” for notes by rhythmic position, because that’s not exactly how Finale operated, but it would allow you to ADD an accent to every downbeat, or every quarter note beat, or add a slur on the first three notes of every four 16th note pattern, etc. Really handy for the handful of times you needed to do that! I presume Dorico’s approach would probably be more useful as an actual filter. But yeah… this would be super helpful!
