Is there a way to tell the MIDI recorder that I am simple and to not interpret too deeply?

I tried recording myself (MIDI Input) where I was only playing quarter and eighth valued notes in 4/4 time.

Dorico was too precise.

Some double eighths were recorded as triplets with rests.

Some other parts were recorded a single note as a tied quarter + eighth + sixteenth + sixteenth rest, instead of a half note.

Preferences. Look for Quantize settings. You can set your smallest value to eighth notes, and you can tell Dorico to ignore triplets.

Thank you!
