I’m trying to write Scriabin’s Op.31, but I can’t understand how to do it. There seem to be triplets in the section written for the left hand, but I can’t figure out how to do it.
It looks like 9 quavers in the space of 6 ; then you’ve got to adjust the beam grouping.
“If it’s too hard: I can’t understand it.”
I attempted Scriabin’s Op. 11, No. 19 a few years ago. The entire thing was full of hidden tuplets and manual beaming.
Thak you very much
In the space of 6, no? (The meter being 3/4.) Thus a triplet on each beat. (With an additional L.H. triplet note before the R.H. commences, not-quite-accurately covered by the initial quaver rest.)
Yes. Schoolboy counting error.
The triplets are, of course, on the beat, and then the beaming is changed. Also the very first eighth note appears to be not in a triplet. Once you’ve got a full bar of these triplets beamed as desired, you can select of them and duplicate until they fill all 32 bars, and then just repitch them to the correct notes!
