is there any method to make a bunch of audio clips sounds in equivalent loudness?
For example the sliced bass audio clips, how to quickly make them sound in the same loudness. The normalizing tool works on the peak rather than the rms, therefore the result is not in the same loudness. Even if there is a rms-based normalizing tool available, it still can not give the best results, because the blank(quiet) sections in each of the sliced clips is taken in to evaluation of RMS.
Does cubase 10 pro has any related functions?
The goto tool for doing this is a Compressor on an insert.
I use VST-plugins called Bass Rider and Vocal Rider from Waves. The plugins are designed to get equal levels for different pitched notes within one track. They work like a compressor but somehow different.
Maybe that’s something that could be interesting for you,
I’m using Meterplugs Perception for this purpose. Great tool
How many instances can you have within one project? I used an early version of Perception but I had the impression that the CPU consumption is high.
