I just work on two late baroque Horn-concertos. Since they need exactly the same instruments, I wonder if there is any option to save own “custom” ensembles?
This has been discussed a few times; the current work around is to create a “template” file. Open a new project, create the ensemble / layout that you want but do not input any notes. Then save the file. Any time you need/want that ensemble, open that file and immediately “save as” to rename a new copy of the file that you can work in without destroying your fake template. No doubt user-definable templates will come eventually.
